got the holiday crazies? 5 ways to de-stress in 10 minutes or less

Juggling a case of too much to do this holiday season? Here are a few quick time saving tips to stay balanced and cool when stress gets the better of you.

#5 Sit up straight, close your eyes and take 10 deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

#4
Brew a cup of Tension Tamer Herbal Tea by Celestial Seasonings.

#3
Close your eyes and visualize a calm, happy place. Try your favorite beach, a scene from your last vacation, a smile on the face of a loved one.

#2 Get down on all fours and do the cat, (or bidalasana as referred to by yogis) paying close attention to your breath.

#1 light a fresh cut herbs soy candle and surround yourself with calming, clarifying aromatherapy benefits of lavender, mint & rosemary.

Best tip is a relaxing bath and #1- a wonderful wind-down before bedtime combo. Peace and quiet helps too!

Believe it or not, I actually do a quick cleaning of my room first (because a messy environment prevents any kind of relaxation), take a nice shower, then I light a favorite candle, rub a little dream balm on my forehead, and put on a favorite CD. That's my unwinding and de-stressing ritual. :)

Take a bath - or a nap :) both usually work for me :)

During the winter months - nice hot bath with a good book (or several). Also having candles lit is a must. During the summer months - a nice long walk or run to truly a delightful way to wind down the day.

My best de-stresser is a power walk! Even ten minutes calms my mind and helps me get refocused.

my best de-stress tip is hanging with my dog. There's nothing like unconditional puppy love to make your troubles vanish!
