Bring Beauty to your Day

" For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it."

Congrats to the De-Stress Tips Contest Winners!

Congratulations to our 3 winners from the blog contest on December 16 5 ways to De-Stress in 10 minutes or Less. We had some fabulous responses with great tips. Each of the three winners will receive a generous sampling bag of The Grapeseed Co. Organic Beauty Treats.

Check out my personal favorite (pictured) heading out to catch some waves!

Here's what our winners added as their favorite way to de-stress:

Jean:
I de-stress 2 different ways. I either sit in a quiet place and meditate for 10-15 minutes or I grab a cup of chamomile tea and write in my journal or cuddle up to a good book.

Briana: My best de-stress tip is hanging with my dog. There's nothing like unconditional puppy love to make your troubles vanish!

Sara: Best tip is a relaxing bath and #1- a wonderful wind-down before bedtime combo. Peace and quiet helps too!

Gracias! The Grapeseed Co. featured in Costa Brava Magazine

I'll be honest with you folks.... I'm exhausted and worn down from the holiday rush. Weekends of work, late nights and very early mornings ...I am so grateful and thankful to you all for boku business, but have been dreaming of just one day to recoup (maybe even spent in my pjs watching movies!)

The perfect pick-me-up when I've got to make it through a few more hours? Getting an email with a press feature I didn't even know was happening... much better explanation for the surge in orders to Spain! I thought maybe our month-long house guest from Spain this summer was really paying us back by spreading the word! "Organic Smellies" is a cute new one too!

Green Skincare: Fresh From Your Kitchen

Parsley Facial Steam
Parsley is a great herb for this steam due to it's wonderful benefits for the skin, and availability- you can always find fresh parley in the produce section. I grow my own outside, but live in a climate where that works year-round. If you don't, try growing parsley in an indoor window herb box.

Steams are a wonderful way to get a spa like treatment at home, plus they are super easy. If you can boil water, you can handle making your own facial steam.

Directions:

~Boil a kettle of water
~rinse herbs if necessary and lay on dish towel
~Select a large, shallow bowl
~break herbs in to bowl
~Pour boiling water over parsley and let steep and cool for a few minutes
~Place bowl on table, sit in chair and let head drop down 12-18 in over bowl, be careful, if it's too hot, make sure to give more time to cool!
~Drape towel over head to trap steam between head and bowl
~Sit for a minute or 2, breathing deeply

follow with The Grapeseed Co. cleanser, toner and serum for a cleansing, hydrating & balancing experience.

What it does:
Parsley is naturally clarifying, rich in vitamin C and aides in healing blemishes.

The Grapeseed Company believes in using only the finest quality botanically derived ingredients to create our exquisitely pleasing aromas. Essential oils and essences are steam distilled from fruit, plants and flowers to create the natural, potent fragrances. Many are familiar with lavender essential oil or tea tree essential oil. The amazing benefits of essential oil go way beyond the natural origin. Essential oils also hold aromatherapy and medicinal benefits, and have a long history of use.

Fragrance oils are another story. Commonly found in cosmetics, skin care, body care and perfumes, fragrance oils are synthetic compounds created to form a scent. Many contain phthalates which have a variety of concerns you should educate yourself on if you are not familiar with them. Fragrance oils can often irritate people sensitive to smells, and even cause headaches or migraines. The Grapeseed Company only uses premium wild harvested essential oils. Each of The Grapeseed Co.s signature scents is a blend of multiple essential oils and essences.
Experience the delicious hand-blended aromas formulated with pure essential oils, fruit and plant essences... a true delight to the senses!
