mass production grapeseed style

This is a bit of an oxymoron, because The Grapeseed Co.'s "mass production" is mainly done by hand. We make the product in small batches, many times fresh when wholesale distribution orders are placed. We utilize bottle filling machines and label manually. Main point is, a person is there every step of the way, responsible and checking for the process, quality and final product of each and every grapeseed goody.

a recent batch of organic sunshine day bath & massage oil
made for the Trump Hotel Chicago

We use natural and organic ingredients which can vary slightly from crop to crop. Just as a wine produced one year may be significantly better than the previous vintage, natural ingredients may have slight variances in hue or scent.

This is why it's important to us to be not only involved, but hands-on, every step of the way. The Grapeseed Company purchases many ingredients through local sources. We even grow some of the lavender we use in our products in recycled wine barrels from local Santa Barbara wineries.

Bottom line is you get the best quality product, made with locally sourced natural and organic botanicals, from a company that has registered with the FDA Voluntary Cosmetics Registration Program for manufacturing personal care products ID#E1002924. We are committed to our green ways and supporting our local community as well as our customer's desires.

Green Skin Care: Fresh from Your Kitchen

vanilla dream salt glow
1/4 cup sea salt (fine to medium grain)
3-4 T carrier oil of your choice
(olive, sunflower and grape seed oil are great picks)
3-4 drops vanilla extract

Directions:
in a small bowl, combine all ingredients and mix to form a paste

Application:
Hop in a warm shower to open pores.
Rub salt scrub in a circular motion over entire body from feet up.
Avoid any area you have a scrape, cut or skin irritation as salt can sting and irritate. Rinse.
*Not recommended for people with sensitive skin

What it Does:
Salt cleanses, stimulates, detoxifies and exfoliates the skin. All of the carrier oils suggested above are high in vitamin E and antioxidants or polyphenols which help hydrate and replenish the surface of the skin. You can use the very same vanilla extract you bake with; besides smelling divine, it is known in aromatherapy as a sensual aphrodisiac that calms and comforts.

Want to Feel Fabulous on a Monday Morning?

Sometimes you just need a girls weekend. A time where YOU are numero uno on the agenda. A time to catch up, unwind, relax, and remove yourself from the computer! It's healthy, and we (or at least myself and my friends) do not do it enough, especially lately... What I notice this morning as I sit down to write, is that I feel wonderfuly relaxed, well-rested and ready to tackle the week head-on. I'm not behind. I'm not anxious. I'm not worrying about something that's preventing me from being 100% focused on my work.

I'm right here; ready to go, where I need to be. Yes, we need those girl's weekends, or at least, a weekend a month dedicated just to us, our well being and a healthy lifestyle.

We headed South, to visit a friend who's hubby and boys were out of town for the weekend. We checked out the new, impressive, eco-friendly Malibu Lumber Yard where live music played amongst cheerful people playing ping pong, shopping, dancing, soaking in the warm rays on the expansive deck. We perused the shops with some of the most gorgeous displays we had to stop and soak it in to appreciate it- almost like artwork. We ate a delicious lunch on a deck overlooking the Pacific. We had a spa night and tested some new custom Grapeseed Co. vinotherapy products while sampling wines. We read magazines and sipped lattes in the back yard in the Sun. morning sunshine. We talked, laughed and only pulled out the blackberry to snap a photo. We set a date for a road trip to San Francisco in June.

I'm a firm believer that good things happen when you are in a good mindset and place. Make a comitment to yourself to ensure that happens, create your own healthy lifestyle and environment and have fabulous Monday mornings!
